Whammy bar for an 1987 Mirage Custom
Post Body

Hey friends, I acquired my dream guitar a few years back that Iā€™d wanted since I was like 12 years old. A black 87 Mirage Custom. I gave a random guy a ride home from a construction job I was working. Heā€™d told me his roommate left him high and dry for two and a half months, and heā€™d heard me talking guitars on the job. He asked if I played, I said yeah, and when we pulled up he told me to check out this guitar. Iā€™d only ever played LTDā€™s because I couldnā€™t afford a ESP Custom at the time. I followed him in, he asked if Iā€™d heard of ESP and I about had a fucking heart attack. I jumbled my words saying yeah I have..trying to keep it cool. He opened the case and there it was. A fucking black late 80s ESP, like a scene out of a movie. He said ā€œI donā€™t know much about guitars but how about 100 bucks.ā€ I actually sat down when he said that. I told him yes absolutely and went home with my all time dream guitar.

I play it every day, but for the last year and a half Iā€™ve not had the correct whammy bar for the guitar. I did originally, things got packed up quick after a gig in NC and someone didnā€™t put it back in the case. Does anyone have or know where I could find a black whammy bar for a late 80s Mirage Custom? The one Iā€™m using has the correct threading on it because I didnā€™t want to damage the threads but itā€™s just loose in there and I donā€™t use it much so I donā€™t fuck it up. Original Floyd in it, and I am really trying to find one. Thanks! šŸ¤˜šŸ»
