So far I have just played with some D1 Minis and ESPHome to set up temp sensors. Now I have one these pool pump switches LINK and it wont play nice with Home Assistant, so I am looking at flashing or replacing the 8266 onboard.

All the info I have found seems to be a bit outdated, so I wanted to see opinions and thoughts from you are much more knowledgeable.

-I have a few D1 Mini Pro's here, would it be easier to just swap it out?

-Is there an up to date guide on flashing one of these?

-Once I have this talking to home assistant, could I wire two of the "One wire" temp probes to it rather than having two 8266s?
