Hi. I have some ESPM3 modules, and one nodemcu lua style espM1, all from DoIT.

After two days of doing everything I can find online, I can't get these things to do anything.

the LUA module acts like it is accepting any sketch I try to upload, then just outputs this to the serial monitor on Reset:

The M3 Modules are esp sync error, over and over and over again.

I've been beating on these things and I just can't get anywhere. I've used external 3.3v power, changed the arduino IDE to every imaginable board setting for esp8266, esp8285, nodemcu .9 and 1.0.

I've grounded gpio0 on the M3's on power up. I've driven the EN pin HIGH, LOW, and Floating.

I've tripled checked my triple checks on the wiring, and on the LUA module there is no wiring other than Vin and GND.

I've tried every baud rate available. 74800 is the only one that gives anything other than gibberish, then only what I listed above.

Putty doesn't seem to accomplish anything. My ch340g module loopback tests just fine.

I am no further than when I began. I'm trying to develop a functional circuit using MQTT, etc., but I can't get past step one.

How can I get into these things and start playing around?

What information do you need that I didn't provide?
