Many people would have known how crazy and hectic this year could be ... the pandemic and the slashed job market. It was hard. After many sleepless nights and depressed months, finally I could let out a long breath. I nailed a job offer from the hottest boutique investment firm in the city. To let out some steam, I went to a bar and ordered a drink.

As I took a moment to watch the crowd, I saw her, a magnificent stunner! It seemed she was waiting for someone, a bit uneasy among the alcohol-craving herd. The early evening light was casting on her white dress contoured silhouette, reflecting all shades of orange and gold. She adjusted her collar, but every move of hers was revealing her willowy form and womanly curves. My hot gaze was all over her, and I had to talk to her.

“Hey, mind if I buy you a drink?”

“Oh!” She giggled, “Do you have an idea what I would be drinking?”

I looked her over to surmise what would be her drink. Beer would be shallow. Scotch? Nah, not intense enough. Brandy or sweet champagne? Not complex enough. “The lady would like to have … a glass of Chateau Margaux 2012.”

She turned to face me with a raised eyebrow, “Thank you!”

I chuckled, “my pleasure for a stunning lady!”

She blushed.

Oh, no! Who blushes nowadays? She is damn adorable.

“So what brings you here today?” I asked.

“I’m waiting for some friends for a small celebration. I don’t usually come to places like this.”

“Oh, what are you celebrating for?”

“I will start my first full-time job on Monday.”

“Really? What a coincidence. I just got a job offer today as well. Maybe you have heard of the XXX firm?”

I saw her rounded lips.

“We have so much in common.” I said with a husky voice. “We both found a new job, and we like a good red… I think we owe it to ourselves to see where this could go tonight.”
