She is a good looking but petulant, scolding boss. Every one under her authority is afraid of her, including myself. She requires our work to be timely, precise and very exact, and she seems very talented in finding fault with some little thing. Many have often left her office in disgust, not because of the criticism, but because of her way of attack.

I am a new intern. Recently, I was handed a rush job. I pulled an all nighter and delivered the work. She phoned me to come to meet her immediately. She said something was wrong. I felt gloomy. When I arrived, I got what I had anticipated -- and dreaded. She was hostile, gloating over her chance to criticize, and demand with heat why I had done so and so.

I felt choked to say anything. After a long while, I started to stammer, “I am ...so ...sorry. I am at fault and there is absolutely no excuse for my blunder. I know you hold high standards for every of our on-going projects. That’s the key reason why our firm is prospering. I am sorry. I am ashamed of myself.”

She looked at me but surprisingly she got softened a little. “You are right, but after all, this isn’t a serious mistake. It’s only...”

I interrupted her. “Any mistake may be costly and irritating. I understand. I am very sorry.” I continued to say all the derogatory things I thought she might say to me. “I should be more careful,” I sincerely said, “you give me this intern opportunity, you deserve the best. I am going to do it all over.”

“No! No!” She protested. “I wouldn’t think it is needed to be completely redone.” She started to praise my work, and assured me that she only wanted a minor revision. To my surprise, she ended up taking me to a lunch!

And I had no idea what would spark from that lunch… Could it be that she let me put a collar on her neck and call her my good "RETARD" bitch?
