I walked into my office short-tempered. Every pair of laced legs, every glimpse of a cleavage along the way would push me to the edge. I am not a nympho, I just hadn’t been having sex for too long. My newborn son simply stole all my wife’s attention.
On top of that, I was shocked to find a registered letter from my secretary, Becky, advising me of her resignation. Oh, no! I cannot lose her! She had been in my employ for five years and was a vital link between me and my rest staff. I thought I had been fair to her and receptive to her needs. Inasmuch as she was a friend as well as an employee. Maybe I had taken her too much for granted? Maybe I was even more demanding of her than of other employees? Maybe she was scared by my hungry stares as my sexual drought worsened every day?
I invited Becky to come to my office and sit in one of the large upholstered chairs.
“I cannot, of course, accept this resignation without some explanation.” I sat down across from her and said in a sincere tone, “Becky, you must understand that you mean a great deal to me and to this company. You are one of the keys to the success of this business. I cannot thank you enough for your constructive supporting role in this company. Please tell me why you wanna resign, and how I can help you withdraw your resignation.”
