Banghore 9 was, by all accounts, a sandy shit hole of a planet, even by outer world standards. It lacked any real natural resources, had plants that could kill you, the third deadliest scorpion in the system, second deadliest snake, and a particularly nasty parasite that liked to crawl in holes late at night...

The one thing Banghore 9 did have going for it, was that it was technically a life sustaining planet with an atmosphere and was at least three jumps from the nearest United Planets outpost. Which meant crime and vice could run rampant with very little oversight. As long as everybody sent a little tax money to the Feds each month, they turned a blind eye to the planet.

You might suspect an intergalactic smuggler and all around rogue like Dax Starwind to be happy on a planet like Banghore 9, but you'd be wrong. Dax wasn't just unhappy, he was down right pissed off as he fingered the blaster in the leather holster just below his hip.

You see, he had landed at the Spaceport of Titta at the invitation of Don Dido, the local crime lord. Dax owed Dido quite a bit of credit, and the Don had sent word that he could repay Dido by smuggling some cargo off world to one of the inner planets. It was a risky request, sure, but then again, so was owing one of the biggest crime lords in the outer planets money. So, Dax had takeb his ship, along with his co-pilot/mechanic Birdy to Banghore 9.

Everything seemed to be going so well. The Don had welcomed them into his pleasure palace. Dido had even paid for them to spend the night at the local brothel while his men loaded up the ship with cargo. Dax had been in a great mood, until he returned to where he'd left the Starwind, and found nothing there but sand...

Now the Captain must find out who took his ship and make them pay. "Birdy," Dax said into the terminal on his wrist, "Meet me at the Cantina, and bring heat. I've got a lot of questions and very little patience today."
