I read lots of post that authors did their own covers and formatting, but how time consuming is it? I don't have patience with technology and I know that sounds bad but I just want to get my work out there.

How much time do you spend on a book cover? What about formatting? I know it seems like omg just diy it's not that hard to do. I would rather pay someone to do it for me through Fiverr. Just message me when you're done so I can get on with writing.

Unfortunately I have a chromebook and I'm not sure what programs are compatible to use for ebook formatting programs. I'm terrible at photoshop. I would like to learn however I don't want my time consumed from writing.

If you do happen to pay for these services how much do fork over just for these two things alone?
