Can I write off extra classes at my local university as a business expense? (US)

So I've been at this since 2014, but last year I had a lot more time and was able to put in a lot more work, and finally make enough money that I'm no longer sure where to spend it. I finished college a few years ago but majored in something unrelated to writing. I did however complete a lot of prerequisites for a creative writing certificate and would like to finish that. Can I get away with writing these classes off, since I'm taking them to further work on my writing?
