Does publishing erotica on Amazon under one penname affect your account for other pennames?

I'm considering dabbling in some erotic writing and selfpublishing on Amazon through KDP, but some fellow authors have told me that they've heard publishing erotica will penalize your account in some ways. I'm not super clear on what they meant, so I wanted to ask here. If I publish erotic stories on my account, will other books of mine that have no sexual content be less visible, or affected in any way by that?
