Q's From a Newbie
Post Body

I have a nasty habit of pursuing various arts, then gutting and abandoning them before I really put myself out there. The lens I have to view my work is really clouded, so I'm seeking some outside perspectives.

Well aware that there are exceedingly less consequential pursuits, I'd like to ask erotica enthusiasts out there to give me some feedback on a short story that I wrote (posted it in r/EroticWriting today with the title "The Stimularium"). It's just under 5K, so I didn't want to bother the Beta Readers. It's a part of a sci-fi story I'm conceptualizing, while also working on a much longer erotic fiction. I'd love to work towards a Patreon or self-publishing through Amazon, but for now I just need to improve my writing. Part of me feels that it's plenty good for a newbie, and the other part whispers, "delete it! delete it!" Any criticisms or encouragements would be deeply appreciated.

If you'd rather not offer writing critiques, I have one last question: which platform should I start with? Do I build on Smashwords, or go straight to Patreon and build engagement elsewhere? Ultimately, I'd like to centralize my erotic writings and drawings together so I can get feedback and hopefully improve on both.
