Thoughts on writing longer-form smut?
Post Body

Not sure if there is any data on this, but when I read Dataporn posts I tend to see folks trending towards writing short(er) length books, 4-10k seems typical. I have thought about writing a full length novel that features erotic elements and sex scenes.. but I'm not sure if the time/payoff makes sense? Somehow, I can write 5-10 stories at 4k, and I can write longer-form non-erotic stories, but writing longer erotica feels like one of those unknown unknowns. In an area of writing that demands consistency and output, waiting 2-3 months to write a longer-form novel is a choice, but does it translate to more sales?

Would love to get insight from folks who write longer form smut.
