Does anyone else have a 'pet character' (not like that) one that just ahows up alot in different contexts because you like them?
Post Body

So my situation is pretty much what it says on the can.

I have a few characters that I wrote once, and now just tend to... show up in my writing and plotting.

I'm mostly writing as a hobby, and for the moment plan to keep it that way, but I find I latch onto certain characters. Their personality, their look, I just like using them.

Case in point: one of my favorite OCs, Leeza Abassi. I have used this bitch in so much stuff. She's been a professional femdomme, she's been a super spy, she's been in the apocalypse, she's been a "girl next door way in over her head" many times. I once needed someone to be doing undercover work in a fantasy setting alongside the main character of the story. You know who I used? Yeah, I used fantasy Leeza.

Now, personally this doesn't bother me. I just kinda mentally justify it the same way I do if an actual IRL actor plays different roles. Similar appearance and mannerisms, different experiences.

What are your thoughts? Is this something alot of people do? Is this something I should try and stop doing or move away from? Just curious what others think!

Edit: Not me, a day after writing this, realizing I have like three different "sexy, badass wandering warrior woman" characters that are based off pulp heroes.

But they're all totally different, and deserve their own space, I swear! Ita totally true, guys, you have to believe me!
