I was in a somewhat abusive relationship for 5 years. We rarely had sex but she was the only person I could get it up with and when we did have sex it was great.
It's been a year now since I finally got her out of my life and I still can't get it up. Even masturbating I only get half hard. I've resorted to buying toys for anal pleasure because I just can't get it up.
I stopped smoking, dont drink soda and rarely eat sweets, work out, eat way better than I used to. In all regards I'm living a healthier life which should mean a healthier sex life but I can't get hard or stay hard.
Is this underlying anxiety? Unknown health problem? I'm not sure what to think anymore, I'm just worried about not having normal enjoyable sex again.
Edit: it's been 2 weeks since my last erection. I stopped looking at porn and have been trying to eat more (was previously having 1 meal a day). I knew it was bad enough before, I was only ever getting half hard when I tried to masturbate but now with 0 interaction I'm getting no kind of erections at all.
When I get aroused all that happens is I get warmer.
Should I see a doctor?
