Hi I have a history of social anxiety and OCD. One way therapists help you work through these fears is through ERP (Exposure response prevention). Basically exposing you to the fear little by little until you develop confidence and the anxiety decreases with each exposure. One way of doing this when the activity isnt so practical is writing up a doc and imagining the worst possible scenario as if you are living it. You do this enough to conjure up some anxiety and with each imagining your anxiety should decrease until you do not care as much.
In theory it seems it would work for ED but I have yet to try it. But does anyone have any first hand experience doing this to cure their ED?
