Building a tropical themed backyard, and the counter top I am constructing is 3ft by 6ft.
I like the high-gloss appeal of epoxy, but I have a question before having this operation proceed.
1 - I will be putting a giant beach photo underneath the epoxy surface, the photo is printed on a fabric tapestry, will the epoxy adhere to this fabric or would it ruin the dyes/fabric? It feels like "cheap flag fabric" if that makes sense.
2 - Somebody told me that epoxy will absorb stains, but I'm not seeing much to reflect this on Google. This will be a big station for prepping food and preparing frozen drinks etc.
3 - Could I saw through it to cut a hole for a sink, or would I be better off cutting the hole before pouring and using some kind of foam knockout for the sink opening?
4 - What would be the best brand to use that will be conducive to Texas heat and drink prepping/BBQ prepping surface?
I'm not afraid to spend the money to do this correctly, but if hiring a professional to do this for me would be better....so be it! Maybe just doing a custom cut sheet of glass would be better for this with the beach photo underneath?
Thank you for your time!
