Has anyone tried to buff WB polyurethane

Floor has a orange peel because I layer it on thick and the manufacturer also told me dip and roll would leave a orange peel. However I’m thinking if I buff the with a red and then a white buffing polishing pad would it help or ruin the floor.
It’s a water based polyurethane clear gloss coat over epoxy.
