Is there anyone here who works for or has worked for Washington Fish and Wildlife as a Fishery or Wildlife Biologist? (Or anyone who may be of help) I've been looking at jobs there, but when I look at their entry level jobs (Biologist 1) it is usually temporary and less than a year, however, a year of experience is needed to jump up to the next level (Biologist 2) which is usually permanent.

My biggest issue is that I'm married and trying to get a year of experience without moving around to the Biologist 1 jobs, which usually don't pop up in the same location twice. Will they hire me at a level 2 position even if my experience is less than a year? Anyone have tips on how to get the first year of experience out of the way to find a more permanent position?

It's my dream job to be a Fish or Wildlife Biologist and do field work, but at the looks of it it may be easier to just apply for my second choice, Fish and Wildlife Officer.
