Missing vaping my flower while I struggle to adapt to tinctures only. 😒

Post Body

I'm two weeks into an 8-12 week period of no inhalation of weed! I'm having a fairly complicated boob augment replacement surgery at the end of the month and my surgeon made a huge deal about how inhaling any substance into the lungs can affect how well anesthesia and accompanying oxygen is absorbed into the body. This guy takes no unnecessary chances and made me sign a contract that I would not inhale cannabas or tobacco for 6 weeks before and 6 weeks after the surgery. Damn!

Edibles don't work for me so I purchased five different tinctures from different dispos. Two of them I can't use because they have THC-o and they cause headaches and diareah.

Of the tinctures that do work for me I'm struggling to dial in on the correct pain management maintenance dose and night time sedate dose. These are all very fast absorbing and fast acting so I know within 10 minutes how I'm going to react to them.

What I miss the most is I feel zero sense of calm, talkative, happy etc. You know, the other reasons we love weed so much. They do work to relieve pain and inflammation though so I'm glad for that.

Are there tips and tricks with using tinctures I need to know? I already know not to swallow for at least 5 minutes or drink or eat anything for at least 10 minutes after taking. Anything else? Is my experience common? Do I need more to get other effects? Any advice is so very welcome and appreciated. Thanks!
