Because the message that stereotype sends is that being mean is a form of showing attraction, it ties in directly with the “boys are mean to the girls they like” thing, which is not surprising because the entp avatar is also male, like the stereotypes are adding up.

What’s way more wacky about that tho is that this isn’t even said to boys, it’s said to girls so they internalise from a young age that someone who treats them bad is attracted to them/ treating them bad is a good thing and I honestly think that that’s the main reason that meme/stereotype is so popular.
