To give an example: over the course of Covid when I was stuck indoors I had a neighbor who was a musician, who would play guitar (he had skill but little talent) day in day out. In response I started playing guitar, to counter hoping it would bother him as much as it irked me. Instead he would play along to what I was playing. He also was very heavy footed so I would hear him stomping all the time. I did a little research and I'll admit I was a little horn curious, I found that a trumpet is as loud as four violins. So I did it, I bought a trumpet and whenever he was playing poorly or stomping I'd toot in retaliation. Now I know how to read trumpet music and am developing a skill out of pure spite.
Is this a normal ENTJ thing to do, learn a new skill out of bitterness? If so what have you taught yourself of learned just to spite someone?
