I hope it's okay to post this here.
πππππ To celebrate Jay's birthday, I'm taking messages from fellow Engenes, and I'm gonna compile them and print them on 6 pages paper, put them in ONE envelope, and send it to Jay. I'm also taking song recommendations for Jay and we'll be creating a Spotify playlist and include the QR code in the letter so that he might want to listen to them while reading our messages.
πThis is for those who want to send a letter to Jay, but can't afford the postal fees, don't have means to go to the post office, or don't know how to send a letter.
πI will send this via PHLPOST Registered Mail.
πFree of charge! I will cover the postal fees.
πThe letter will be sent from the Philippines, but anyone can join.
πDeadline: March 25 or until all slots or pages are taken or filled.
Since I will be covering the costs, I can only do limited slots.
π15 slots available (total of 27 slots)
π1 slot per person only.
π200 words (max) for each slot.
Not everyone will write 200 words, so if there are extra spaces, I will open more slots :) Please check this post from time to time to know if I'll open additional slots.
πNo hate or inappropriate messages. Your message will be immediately deleted.
If you do not want to write a message but have some song recommendations for Jay, feel free to comment songs down below. :) Here's the current spotify playlist.
πππππ Questions/Concerns
How can we be sure that Belift receives the letter and not reject it?
Belift rejects letters sent in bulk, but since for this project, although the messages are from multiple people, we're basically sending only ONE letter under one person's name (my name); the likelihood of them rejecting it is low. This is also the reason why I'm limiting the total submissions to 6 pages so that they wouldn't be suspicious. Also, Belift rejects letters not in standard envelopes and those with designs. I will be putting the letter in one standard size envelope with no design.
Will my message be confidential?
Since I will be the one who will review, print, compile the messages, and send the letter, I will be reading your message. If ever I will need someone who will assist me, they will also be able to read your message. However, I would not post any of the messages on social media.
I want to send my own letter (not part of this project) via the post office, but I don't know how, can you help me?
Feel free to DM me your questions, and maybe I can help. My knowledge about sending letters is mostly in the Philippine context, though.
How will you format the letter?
I'm going to do two columns per page to maximize the space. Tentative format sample is inside the form.
Will you be accepting pictures? Fan arts?
For pictures, no. This is text only in order to accommodate other people, and ink is expensive. For Fanart, I can accept some for the title page of our letter, but know that your art would be folded, and I don't have black ink, and my blue ink is running low ;n; DM me if you want me to use your fanart for the title page.
Do I have to use up my 200 words?
No, you don't have to. You can just write a simple message. It's even better because there will be more room for other Engenes.
Can I reserve slots?
No. It will be harder for me to track the slots. Sorry! But I will update in the thread regarding the number of slots available.
How long will it take for Jay to receive the letter? Will he receive it before his birthday?
I will try to send the letter by the end of March, but I'm not sure if it will arrive before his birthday. Usually, from my past experience, letters from Philippines to Korea takes 3 weeks to 1 month.
How can we track the letter?
The letter will be sent via PHLPOST's Registered Mail, meaning there will be a tracking number. I will update the status of the letter in the thread.
I'm not from the Philippines, can I join?
Absolutely! :)
What language should I use in writing my message?
Jay can understand English, Korean, and Japanese, so feel free to use any of these languages.
