Are OHC valvetrains less efficient than OHC or DOHC?

So I was wondering if the actual valvetrain would contribute to the efficiency of these engines. I know there are other differences, such as number of valves and new technologies etc. but I wanted to know if the reduced weight and inertia of the OHC designs would contribute to that efficiency too.
