Post Body

Hi, sorry if this is the wrong place to write this (pls redirect me if that’s the case) however I don’t know anything about engineering however I desperately need some help. A lego exhibit is at the end of this month so time is short for me, however I really want to make this lego ship work. Currently I am struggling with keeping the wings of the ship upright.[Here are some images of the problem](https://imgur.com/a/OIAz5pu)

When the ship is upright and uses both wings to hold itself up the wings stay in position (flush against the main section and angled downward) however when i lift it up from the middle section, one of the wings slips out of position (picture 2). I had designed one of the wings and then mirrored it for the other, before adding the second wing the model was very sturdy and could be held by the wing or by the middle easily. The third picture shows the ball sockets that hold the wing, the first is one that attaches to an [axle.](https://imgur.com/a/icRidwa) there are two built like this and three built with bricks.

i alternated the ball joints, some connect at a steeper angle. [The upper right](https://imgur.com/a/jTFnMhf) joint has a steeper angle than the lower left ball joint. I hoped this would add strength but it’s just a hunch.

What could I do to make it more secure? I haven’t added and on the top as I’m trying for a sleek design.

Thank you if you read this.

TLDR: How can i strengthen these wings on a lego spaceship?
