I need help and opinions. My fiancé proposed a few days before Christmas and it was def a surprise but the location was at a frozen pond with a gorgeous background of the sun peeking through the trees over it. We got the photos back Christmas Day and they were edited so awful and lazy I don’t even know where to begin so I will show some of the worst ones. She didn’t get a single picture with him kneeling where you can actually see the ring even after the actual proposal she had him kneel again with the ring and still didn’t have the box in the picture. She didn’t include hardly any of the gorgeous pond view. In one of the pics, you can see she left some background attached to my coat in spots even. It was such a special and important day to us and we were so sad about the pictures. My fiancé wasn’t aware that she was editing them for us, we actually have someone in the family that he wanted to do it. He thought he was just paying for the pictures to be taken since the cost was so low($150). When he asked her if she had unedited photos she just said she is proud of her editing and is refusing to give them to us. She offered to edit again but I just am so upset and don’t want her to since the quality was so poor that it ruined the photos and the excitement behind seeing how magical the day was. How should we proceed with this? We haven’t responded yet since she said no to giving us the photos but that she would edit them again. I feel bad because she is very offended we want the raws and am not sure what to do. It’s such a special moment for us and I want to like the photos. She also had no contract and also didn’t inform him she would be editing
For $150 I think the photos are way better than I personally would have anticipated.
