How should I dispose of a birthday-collage of family/friend photos and wishes made by an abusive ex?

Post Body

My ex and I were in a toxic relationship, he was abusive towards me. We broke up 2.5 years ago.

While packing to move, I found some itens he gifted me. This includes photos and birthday messages that he collected from close friends and family into a book-collage for my (past) birthday.

How should I approach disposing of, burning, or altering this item to release attachment to my ex?

I have conflicted feelings about this book, since I feel grateful to have photos of great memories and messages from loved ones, but I also feel nostalgia/confusion at photos/messages from my ex as well as the fact that this was born out of his effort.

Recently, memories of our relationship have been coming up and today I went on an unintended rant about him. I would much rather forgive him and leave him behind.

Other helpful context: I work with yoga, reiki, chakras, lunar cycles, and am open to other healing/rituals
