What are going to be the big developments in energy in the next 10 years?
Post Body

There is obviously a huge movement towards Green or Renewable Energy sources.

I have also lived in some places that have large focus on oil and gas exploration and technology and I know they are constantly trying to innovate.

When it comes to the next decade of energy use what can we expect as the areas of focus and break throughs?

It seems a lot of the time the talk is on batteries, is that really were the focus should be?

Other times it goes to the extremes of cold fusion which I love the idea of but I haven't been aware of a ton of progress there or that in 10-20 years or so that is dooable.

Obviously correct me if I am wrong though as I am not nearly as educated as I can imagine many posters here are.
