Diagnosis doesn't feel like a step forward

Post Body

After more than 12 years reporting debilitating pain to several doctors and being ignored I finally got to do an MRI that shows what could be several lesions. I expected the doctor to explain stuff about the disease to me, explain my options regarding medication, surgery, lifestyle changes, etc, but nothing. Other than what I've been doing for years on my own account and research - slind and not menstruating - she gave me nothing, no painkillers, no advice, nothing. When I asked about surgery all she said was that it was risky and that patients sometimes develop urinary complications...I've already had chronic bladder pain for two years, as well as chronic lower back pain that shoots down my legs, pain during sex and random contractions despite not menstruating. I don't even know why I'm writing this, I thought something would come out of this diagnosis and that I would at least have options to try and improve my quality of life. I feel exhausted and really depressed.
