Steam Version Not Recognizing My Keyboard

I redownloaded Nehrim on Steam today and it worked fine until it crashed. Now whenever I start it up it won't recognize when I press any key. I can't even use escape to skip the startup animation. Anyone had this problem before and know a fix?
