Super random question incoming, but first, some context. Our area was hit by severe thunderstorms and an F1 tornado last week, leaving tens of thousands without power. Fortunately our home was unaffected, but since the storm, while utility crews have been working to restore power, we notice a slight flicker in some of the LED lamp bulbs in our home. It’s very sporadic, including one three bulb fixture where only one bulb flickers.
The reason I’m posting here is that we’ve noticed that whenever my printer is running, the flickering gets much worse. Our living room looked like a rave this evening when I fired up for a quick 20 minute print, and the flickering got much better (although didn’t completely disappear) when I powered the printer off. We haven’t noticed issues with any other devices in our home, just the LED bulbs.
Any thoughts on why this might be, and most importantly, if it’s an indication that something might be off with the printer? I wouldn’t think it’s drawing enough juice to have house wide impacts like it is, but I’m no electrician. TIA for your insight!
