Hatchbox Wood PLA settings/clogs/etc.
Post Body

So, I’ve been printing with this filament for about a week now and got really good results. However, the last few days I’ve been experiencing my first clogs and it’s been consistently clogging on me every time I print something. It will go for about 15-20 minutes max before it clogs again.

Something weird I did notice upon unclogging was that a sort of tree sap looking substance leaked out of the nozzle along with the wood pla.SapNot sure if this is normal with the wood filament? Also, the little silicone(?) pad around the nozzle I noticed had moisture all on one side of it.Pad I’ve never had this before and have been printing with standard Hatchbox black PLA for about 2 months now.

Print settings:

-Nozzle: .4mm (I may change to .6mm)

Layer height: .08mm-.12mm

-Temperature: 180-195c(possibly need to stay on the higher end of this so as to not let the wood pla cool and harden)

-Flow: 95-105% (possibly need to play around with this one more)

-Speed: 40-60mms

-Retraction: 3.5mm ; 35mms (have tried with no/lower retraction and clogging still occurs)

-And the handful of various settings enabled to make prints look nice

Here are some things I managed to print before the issues started: Wood stuff
