I've gone through this a couple times and cannot think of why it won't work - I did notice that in his video he has to manually switch the usb port to be available, but as I understand it he's using a CR-10 motherboard, which doesn't matter because they both use the same processor.
All parts used in this are totally new, so I do not think there's a defective part. What could the cause be? Are the GPIO pins on the Ender 3 motherboard positioned differently?

Having looked at the thread I decided to use /u/DelScipio's link and have gone through all of it, however, now I cannot get the bootloader to be flashed. I am getting this error:
For the board info in Arduino, I'm using an ATmega1284, the clock is 16Mhz, BOD is 2.7V, pinout is Sanguino, variant is 1284P.
I have tried to burn it off the Pi and off of my own computer, nothing gets results. What should I do? No, the settings
