As I understand it from a friend, the author of ender's game focuses heavily on the psychology of his characters and what they go through, which is the BIG THING that is missing in the movie (which is why I feel this a story to be read rather than watched).
Now, Im okay with depth really, but I dont want to read a bunch of books that take 200 pages explaining this kind of thing, its just not the mood am in right now.
To add to this, I really hate reading a book more than once (unless I really love it), so if I do start the series I'd like some kind soul to make a quick list of things that I should know from book 1 that dont show up in the movie, its a lot to ask but just if some of you feel like doing it I'd appreciate it.
EDIT: Ok you guys convinced me. I'll start with ender's game and see how it goes with the rest.
