I'm AMAB gender fluid and cusping on turning that into outward expression from what has been years of unexpressed internal identity, basically a permanent boymode with private experiments into different ways to dress more andro. What gives me euphoria (other than my favorite brown lipstick) is looking vaguely hobbitish? Like, my outsides match my insides most when I dress up for Ren Faire, but I'd feel weird with that level of what feels like cosplay on the daily (and also I feel weird about conflating gender expression with "costume" even though like, sure, it's all a costume anyway)
So the other day I wore a bright yellow tee under some olive green overalls with the cuffs rolled up to my knees, and my friend described it as Shirecore and I was like, "that's it, that's the word I've been looking for." So frienbies, hit me if you please with your VAGUELY hobbitish style tips, stuff I can wear on the streets or to work (very casual dress code, but still profesh looking).
Also curious to hear about y'all's relationship to custome/cosplay and your genders, if you would, because I feel like the way I'm thinking about it might be wrong or offensive or just... not as gendery as it seems to me as I think about what "it all" means to me. Thanks and love y'all!
