My friend and I have started playing Platinum on WinDS PRO (DeSmuME X432R 64-bit) , and have taken turns to play it by sending each other the save files through Discord.

However, ever since I send him mine, all wild pokemon we encounter have been shinies. We activated no cheats, no changes to save files whatsoever. I tried activating an action replay code that would force all pokemon to be shiny, and then deactivate it, to hopefully fix this.

However upon deactivation of the shiny cheat, if you'd encounter a pokemon, there would be nothing you encountered. Just a glitchy texture on top of the screen. The game didn't crash, and luckily I had an older savefile to revert to, but still even in this older savefile all wild pokemon are shiny. I'd hate to abandon the run if I'm honest, but I am not qualified to solve this
