EMT-B vs LNA as a patient care tech in an ER

Post Body

Hi all, I am an EMT-B for a private company in NH and have been looking to get into an ER for a patient care tech position. I see everywhere that hospitals want LNA licensure for a ER tech position, but I have applied to a few jobs anyways and have been rejected due to not having my LNA License (not surprising).

I know LNAs are trained a little differently than EMTs, but as a patient care tech I feel I am way more qualified than an LNA would be.

Does anyone have any insight as to why? Would it be hospital rules or something on the state level?
