Hey there, I’m so sorry you’ve experienced this. And you have every right to feel the way you’re feeling.
This comment of yours is probably the most classic example of ‘hindsight bias’ - the tendency to assume you had the knowledge to predict an outcome, only once you learned of the outcome.
I promise this is not something you could have changed. And it’s fantastic that you’re quitting smoking. As a recent ex-smoker, DO NOT THINK THIS IS AN EXCUSE TO BUY A PACK OF CIGGIES!
