I started at an agency recently and every chart I’ve had recently has been QAed. The one doing the QA flags things that are common sense for example requiring finger stick in procedures even when a blood glucose listed in Italy same with temperature. Those are minor I get it. But what I don’t get is how someone who is not a Paramedic is QA for Paramedic level calls. I believe QA should be done by a provider of the same level. At least that’s what it’s been at almost every agency I’ve worked for. This is especially true when said QA criticizing clinical judgement when it’s not warrented.
