János, Voivod of Transylvania, is the hero of Hungary. King Lajos has failed to resist the invasion of the Germans of the Empire, and has all but given up, leading the proud Magyar to be under the Imperial yoke.
Szapolyai János is not a coward. He is a man, and a man that can lead Hungary to greatness. Whether against the German, the Turk, or the Vlach, he stands without flinching, an example for his people. There is no doubt that Maximillian's agents will seek him out to kill him. He is marked for death, but by the will God, János will not back down from a fight. This is a fight that is necessary. Now more than ever. All that is left of Hungary has seen their dreams die, murdered in cold blood by the German yoke. János, whether should he ride into eternity as a martyr with a halo or as a victorious liberator with a laurel crown, is a decision left only to God. For those who need direction, the world needs Szapolyai János.
As each day passes, the cries go up from all across Hungary for the establishment of order and justice, even as the Empire wishes nothing upon Hungary but marauding and death. János is called upon to answer these calls, yet this is not enough; far from it. To appease the men is a blessing—to give them their rightful leader and reclaim their liberties and lands is something else entirely. If there is any man ready to lead Hungary into battle, it is Szapolyai János.
