[M] Sorry about the wait - was gunning to write a proper one but opportunity is in short supply. This will do.
April 1516
In response to the will of the old King Vladislaus, defender of Christendom, whereby the Diet of the Crown was asked to reconfirm at the earliest opportunity the coronation of the young Louis as King of Bohemia, the Diet votes to do so. Though florins crossed the border and some unfavourable arguments were made regarding the youth of Louis and concern for the ever more volatile situation between Christian kings, the Crown Council and lord Lev at the helm maintained firmly that the negotiations with King Vladislaus were the opportunity these detractors should've used to ask for more. It would be a low and unreliable Diet that walked back on its own vote for coronation mere few years later - it could negotiate with no future King thereafter.
It is done. Long live the King.
In matters of war and the call of the King in Budapest to raise the Crown Levy however, there was a strange somber mood above the Diet. Where the confirmation of Louis invited some debate, it seemed none were too keen to raise their voice on this.
This had been decided. Lords Lev and Šternberk and the old man Pernštejn all knew where they stood and whom they could no longer convince. Too many a purse were stuffed. The Supreme Burgrave had done what he could to defend the Diet from itself and secure the future of the Crown - all they could do now was watch the banners.
The Diet votes against the Crown Levy and will not join Louis on the warpath.
