Cesares army has been bested at Bologna, the Bolognese-Florentine coalition routing, although not crushing the Papal army. For now Cesare deems it necessary to withdraw and lick his wounds. His army will for now withdraw to Castel San Pietro Terne, and although casualties are light, they are also to begin reorganizing for a future campaign. For now however they are to take a defensive stance. Ramiro de Lorqua, current Governor of Rimini and Pesaro is to be called to take command of the army, Antonio di Sansivino is to be dispatched to serve as his replacement as governor (his lighter touch shall certainly warm the Romagnans more than the iron heart of Lorqua). Lorqua will take command of the remnants of the army (although 100 cavalry shall accompany Cesare). The defenses at the castle are to be sured up, and raids to begin into the Bolognese countryside, burning any settlements in Bologna as retribution for daring to attack Cesares army. Other than this Lorqua is to simply check any attempt by the Bolognese-Florentine forces to move on Forli or back south into Romagna.

Cesare shall meanwhile return to Forli and visit Rome to recruit fresh men, and prepare for strikes against the treacherous Florentines.
