An so began Cesare's campaign against Bologna. His army of some 6,000 set out from Rome unto Bologna and conquests anew. Onto Forli they marched, where the 3,000 men levied by Vitello Vitellezi and Antonio di Sansavino were added to the main Army. The Orsini brothers, accompanied by Sansavino, are to march with 2,200 men (1,000 Mercenary Pike, 400 Mercenary Crossbows, 200 Mercenary Cav and some 600 Levy footsoldiers) and 2 of Cesares Cannon to Faenza, where they are to demand the surrender of its young Lord Astore III Manfredi, who is himself to become a prisoner of Cesare. The city of Faenza itself will be annexed into Cesares lands. Meanwhile the remainder of the army will advance on Bologna. The minor fortress of Castel San Pietro Terme will be besieged and taken en route. Upon its capture the army shall envelope Bolgona itself and make preparations to storm the city.
