After almost 2 and a half years of preparation the Hanseatic expedition for a westward spice route to India is finally ready to set sail. It will be one of the largest expeditions of its kind and features participants stretching from lands as far away as Novgorod, Lubeck, Poland, Ireland and Scotland. The expeditionary fleet will consist of a total of 14 ships. 5 heavy and 9 light ships. This will be the maiden voyage of the first 4 ships of the Scottish navy. The largest and greatest ship is the St. Andrew. The other three ships are smaller but still great ships in their own respects and are christened as follows, the St. Peter, the St. Elmo and the Alba. The expedition is to first meet on the western costal town of Ayr. There, command of the expedition shall be handed over to Jan z Kolna and his famous ship the Peter von Danzig. Jan z Kolna is considered the best choice as he, unlike any other captain has sailed as far west as Greenland and is the most experienced Captain with the most experienced crew. The Scottish ships shall be commanded by Sir Andrew Wood.
The route the Hanseatic League shall take will start northwards towards Iceland. From there they shall continue westward to Greenland. Once there, the expedition shall know how far west they are and how far west they must go and shall therefore cut south and west in hopes of finding India. The planned route
