Post Body

"My fellow Scots" James III announced to his Lords "Today is a historic day for our nation. Centuries of war and strife have come to a close. I am pleased to announce that Edward, son of Edward IV King of England and Wales has betrothed my daughter Caitlyn. While the are only 8 years of age in a few short years they shall join hands at the altar." The nobles in the hall mumbled mostly with approval yet a few still held out in defiance.

"What of the French?" Duncan Keith, Earl of Mar shouted "Our allies will not like this!"

"Where were the French when the English and Danes attacked?" King James demanded "They are no allies of ours. Our country and our nation was on the brink of perishing and they didn't even bother to lift a finger. The Scots are apparently not worthy allies to the French. Furthermore, the raiders who started this war and attacked the innocent farmers and villagers of northern England will be handed over to the English to distribute the King's justice."

"My Lords, I know that you are not blind, the English have been the auld enemy. I ask you, what has that brought the Scots? In you hearts you all know the answer. Death and Destruction. I hope I have your support in this new chapter for Scotland."
