It had been nearly two years since the beginning. A new school was being built in Norway, to train the new Scandinavian military and educate the nobles of Europe. This school was to be the crown jewel of the north. Nearly two years had passed, and 4.5 million kroner had been spent, but finally, it was almost done. The architects told him it would be just a few more months, once the snows had finished melting. That means it is almost time. I should begin making out the invitations. The King was not the best at writing out formal invitations; instead he would give such matters to his Chancellor, like he did with most matters. Plus, Karl is a trusted friend and a skilled diplomat. He'll know what to write. Once his Chancellor had been summoned and the instructions given, the King retired. Fortunately, the North was quiet, especially in winter, thanks to the cold. It would liven up in the summer though. Especially this summer...

In another part of the castle, Kansler Karl Mortensen wrote furiously. Invitations, to everyone. Could he have been more vague? He was excited, though. After two years, he would finally have something to show for his hard work at getting the warring Scandinavian states unified. Once he had finished his writing, many stacks of papers were dispersed to his messengers, to go throughout Europe, handing the papers to the Kings and Princes and Dukes and Emperors of the land. The papers were simple, but elegant.

*You are hereby invited to the Grand Feast to celebrate the opening of the new Scandinavian Military School and University. Three days of festivities shall commence. On the First, the Royal Kings and Emperors of Europe shall feast in the Grand Hall. On the Second Day, the Princes and Dukes shall be invited to another feast along with the Kings and Emperors. On the Third, all nobles and advisors and friends you have brought shall be invited to another feast. During the day, hunting, jousts, melees, jesters, and various entertainment is free to be enjoyed. We welcome your presence, and ask for confirmation of your attendance.

A special message was sent to the Pope, inviting him to give the school his blessing. Another was sent across the Scandinavian countryside, to begin collecting the food. Two more were sent to the mainland to invite the special musicians. One was to be Paul Hofhaimer, a gifted organist. The other was sent to a secret person, who was not quite well known, but had caught the attention of some, and this man was to be the special guest, singing hymns for the Feast.

The food to be had is as follows: Deer, Elk, Moose, Stag, Boar, Ducks, Geese, Chickens, many types of Northern Fish, soups, breads, local ales, beers, and wines, and fresh desserts. The courses would of course change every night, and the same dish would not be served twice. The tableware was to be specially commissioned as well. The serving dishes were to be made from the bones of long-dead giants and cyclopes coated in gold and silver. [M - Mammoths and dinosaurs, for any confused.]

In addition to all of this, a new wife for the heir to Denmark needs to be found. Prince Christian needs a wife.

TL;DR - Scandinavia is about to finish a huge school for their military and any nobles who want to go. Three huge feasts are being prepared, and all of Europe is invited. I mean Everyone. Just RSVP with any problems you may have sitting next to someone. All are welcome! :D
