The Royal Chancellor sighed and put down his quill. I guess I should pack for the trip before too long. As he looked over what he had written, he smiled. I think this will work. It read:
His Royal Highness Henry VII, King of England, The King Of Denmark has proposed an alliance of marriage between our two great nations. His Majesty would have his own son and heir, Prince-Elect Christian, betrothed to your daughter, Princess Mary. He would offer a dowry of 750,000 ducats for her hand in marriage. Upon their marriage, the Princess shall become heir to the throne along with her husband, and together they shall ascend to the throne of Denmark upon the death of His Majesty King Hans. As the future queen, she shall be treated with the utmost courtesy by the Royal Family, as well as the nobleman and common folk of the country. A teacher shall be provided to her, at the expense of the Danish Crown, to help her learn the language and culture of the kingdom she will help rule. To present this proposal in place of His Majesty King Hans, the Royal Chancellor of the Kingdom has come in person, bringing with him a recent painting of Prince-Elect Christian, so that the court may look upon him, as well as the proposed tutor for the Princess.

A few weeks later, the Chancellor arrives in England with a few assistants and the teacher. After spending the night on dry land for the first time since leaving Denmark, the Chancellor was prepared to present the proposition to the King of England. As he bowed, the Chancellor said, "Your Grace, I have proposal from the King of Denmark..."
