[June 10th, 1511]
On the tenth of June, 1511, a bastard son was born to Maximilian I and his lover Anna von Helfenstein. They would name him Maximilian Friedrich, both after the Emperor and his friend, Graf Eitel Friedrich of Zollern.
The birth was a difficult one unfortunately, and Anna suffered from the physical and mental effects for months after. Now, we would identify a large part of her suffering as post-partum depression, but at the time the resources and understanding were much less. Understanding was not what she found in the Emperor, who would move on from her shortly after, taking the child with.
It seems that Phillip's leaf fell not far from his father's tree.
