How to deal with nerve damage and loss of sensation?

Post Body

Hello everyone! I had my wisdom tooth removed and it damaged my mandibular nerve, my chin, lip and teeth are completely dead save for random bouts of pain, and I don't know how to cope with that. The doctor didn't tell me anything before the surgery that it was a possibility, shrugged it off and only told me to wait when I complained about it. Apparently, from what I read, anesthesia means I have no chance to recover. I don't want to live with a chunk of dead flesh forever, I can't bear touching it but I can't avoid feeling it either because it feels like a heavy foreign lump attached to my face. I also can't brush my teeth because again I can't feel them. I have a play in October and I don't know how I will act with the drooly speech and damaged facial expressions. My friends tell me to wait, but I don't care if it goes away eventually, I only want this hell to stop right now
