Hello! (:
Currently, I am reading the book Attached by Amir Levine and Rachel S.F Heller and it is beyond eye-opening.
I’ve realized with reading this particular book that it is absolutely normal to be anxious and feel attached to someone but you want to find healthy ways to channel your emotions and you can do that simply by being with a partner who is more secure in that area and who has no problem with affirming you and reassuring you with actions that you have absolutely nothing to worry about.
I have an anxious attachment style and I’m starting to believe that stems from my dad leaving me when I was 9 years old, I am just someone who values closeness and intimacy but sometimes I can get overwhelmed and I crave the communication to be very frequent and often. I guess i’m just trying to say that the book is an eye opener and can help anyone who craves connection just like me so that you can be more aware and express your needs from the very beginning so that there is no confusion or jaded areas.
