Newbie question: Controlling a lot of leds with very limited space
Post Body

I'm trying to control a bunch of leds with an attiny85. I'm currently programming it with the arduino. I can control anywhere between 90 and 110 leds on a ws2801 60led/m strip before I have problems using the adafruit neopixel library. I've tried using the fastLED library but I can't even get the blink to work with the attiny85. I think I've narrowed it down to a memory limitation with the attiny. I'm trying to either figure out how to control more leds with the attiny85 or a suggestion for a different chip that could be about the same size. For size I'm looking at about 3/8" wide and it could be a few inches long without any issues.

Any help/suggestions would be immensely helpful.
